Mission Statement Second Chance Animal Rescue, Inc. is a cage-free, non-profit no kill shelter. Our main purpose is to rescue homeless animals and provide for their medical, physical, and emotional needs while finding a loving, caring and permanent home. Goals: · Early Spay/Neuter Program o To ensure all animals are spayed and neutered before leaving Second Chance Animal Rescue, Inc. to help reduce the over population of homeless animals. · Behavior/Medical Rehabilitation o To provide treatment and care for all animals who are surrendered or homeless due to behavior and medial problems. · Pet Adoptions o To provide a second chance for all animals to be adopted into a loving forever home. We are committed to and take responsibility for animals that are adopted out by us for their entire life. · Foster Care o To place all surrendered or homeless dogs in foster homes. o To provide a safe, caring and secure transitional environment to prepare the animals for their new home. · Education/Mentor Program o To create awareness within our community for the need to reduce the number of unwanted and discarded animals. o To educate our children about the responsibility, commitment and sense of caring and respect for all animals and community service. · Feral Humane Cat Trapping o To continue our dedication to the humane concept of controlling the feral cat population through a program of trapping, spaying/neutering, rabies vaccination and releasing. · Volunteer o To expand our volunteer program with others that share our philosophy that every animal is important and valued. Together our volunteers have over 20 years of experience in rescuing and caring for homeless animals.
