*I also posted this under General before I realized that it probably fit better under this subject Sorry!*

Hello, I am interested in volunteering and found this website. I looked into several local no-kill shelters and called about 6 of them a week ago. Each of these shelters had indicated that they were in need of volunteers and I left messages on each of their machines. As I said this was approximately a week ago and I have not yet gotten a single call back. Does any one have any suggestions? should I try to contact them through email? or call again? or should I just give up on my hope to volunteer @ a local shelter? Any comments welcome, thank you
~animal<3er~

best thing you can do is go in to the shelter and talk to some one. usually shelters are under staffed or just sooooo busy. they would love some one to just come in see if it the kind of place you could handle and fill out the paper work necessary to volunter

I agree with Chant'e, just go in. The shelters and rescues are so understaffed, under budget that there is no time to answer a call. Maybe you can volunteer to just help with the phone?

Thanks
Petwalk.com
