My eleven year old mixed breed who never has accidents has suddenly started leaving a single round hard poop ball in the house when unattended. She normally asked to go out when needed and always goes when we take a walk. Sometimes I find these on her bed or in the middle of the room. It is so unlike her I don't know what could be happening. Any ideas?

My dog started this a while ago, mind you, he is 18 years old. But according to the vet, it is age. Sometimes they lose control to an extent of certain things, and that happens to be his. He has never urinated in the house though, so this is good. I would however recommend calling your vet and just asking what it may be.

first thing that came to mind to me was age also. maybe you might find a great area where your baby can rest while your gone so you dont have to find hidden surprises when you go to bed, you can get stomachaces if you inadvertantly ingest pooh! good luck!<br />
