Yesterday, I saw the sickest thing ever. A beautiful Rotweiller puppy came into my yard to die. He has been severely beaten and starved. Someone had put a collar or chain around his neck when he was tiny. Of course he grew, but the collar did not! The ingrown collar had finally broken loose, or someone had finally yanked it from his neck. There is no hair there, and lots of blood and hanging skin. We've fed him and shown him love, but we can't keep him. We have 2 black labs who are very jealous of intruders. I'm afraid they'll hurt him. He's very sweet, and just needs a chance. I can keep him here for a couple more days, but then will be forced to send him to the pound. If you need a loving, faithful, thankful friend, please call. Trust me, there is a place that people like that go. What ever happened to the puppy? I'm almost afraid to ask. I found a Rottweiler a few days ago who was about 4 yrs. old but have been abused terribly. Very sweet but scared dog. I was lucky enough to find a couple whose Rottweiler had just died of Cancer and they wanted to take this dog and give her the love she needed. I have 2 dogs and 2 cats, all strays, or I would have taken her.

Who ever did that needs to also have a collar inbedded into them and "kicked" to the curb. I would take it in but live in Houston and my good heart always does so but there are rescue groups for dogs and certain breeds, they work with you to get the animal to the designated spot(transporting).Try the HOUSTON SPCA -www.houstonspca.com or try rescue.com I think. Please keep all of us fellow dog lovers posted on progress- much love-from Texas
