I'm helping a lady who wants to socialize a Ferrel Cat, by trying to get in touch with anyone who has done this. Can anyone help me. Apparently this cat is only half Ferrel (if there is such a thing). She read an article about a lady who tamed these types of cats, but she couldn't remember her name. So I figgured why not ask one of you out there in Cyberland.

I dont remember the ladies name either. I have however posted on this topic many times. Just look around. Its simple but not easy. Half/part ferrel makes it easier. There is such a thing.

Patients! thats the key. Let him come around in is own time. Pushing him will only scare him further. Hopefully he's in a quiet room. Go in and sit and talk to him several times a day. Don't leave food out for him to eat all day. Make him associate you with the food. If you are patient enough he will grow to love and trust you. I rescued a ferrel kitten that climbed our walls when we first got her. It took months for her to come around. Eventually she was one of the gang!

Thanks Happy Tales

I have answered the question so many times I stopped answering. All they have to do is look around on this forum.

Jingles took a while but now sleeps with me every night. She was a monster when we brought her home. She was a serious biter. I am sure our other cats were examples for her to learn from.
